Neighborhood Yoga Teacher Training

2023-24

240-Hour Yoga Alliance
Certification Program

This will be an in person trainin.

Participants will explore methods of cultivating their personal practice, and from that space, experience the gift of sharing yoga with others. You do not have to be a teacher, nor even desire to become a teacher to attend NYTT. This training will set up a foundation of inquiry and support your personal evolution by giving you the tools to live yoga as a creative, authentic, moment-by-moment lifelong practice. Through tradition, reflection, experiential learning and intention, we will help you find your own authentic voice, and path on this journey. Through self-inquiry and group discussion, we uncover together the meaning of traditional yoga texts, and how this timeless philosophy relates to daily living.

NYTT is a 9-month program meeting one weekend a month (20 hours per weekend) September 2023 through May 2024. With an emphasis on Vinyasa or Flow Yoga, we will also explore many styles of yoga which support the foundation of a vinyasa practice, including, Iynegar, Ashtanga, and Anusara, as well as introduce the principles of yoga for special populations.

There is a cost reduction of $150 and a certificate of completion will be awarded at the end of the program for the number of hours dedicated to advanced studies and training in yoga.

Make up hours are both difficult and expensive. If you need to miss a weekend or a day, arrangements should be made prior to that date. It is your responsibility to obtain any missed material, through additional workshops, classes, or private sessions. Options for making up missed material will be discussed on an individual basis.
