The balance of the deposit is due September 16. Monthly or Bi-monthly payment options may be arranged as autopay (with a credit/debit card), and includes a $10 finance charge/payment.
After July 31st, regular tuition is $2850. Final application deadline for the 2023 program is Sept 1st, 2023. Applications will only be accepted after this date if space is available. Scholarship and work/trade applications are also due by Sept 1st.
Tuition does not include accommodations or any other required books. We accept cash or checks made out to Neighborhood Yoga. A list of required texts will be provided following registration, but an estimated cost for these is $150. It may be possible to borrow some of these from previous students, or acquire used editions on line at a reduced rate.
Applications and deposits are due no later than Sept 1st, 2023. After that date, applications are accepted based on availability.
Early bird deadline is July 31, 2023.
A minimum of one year of yoga practice and a dedicated home practice is required. NYTT is open to those that want to teach and those that want to deepen their practice and knowledge of Self. There is no particular level of asana required, only a deep commitment to the discipline and practice of yoga, and an openness to new ideas. To ensure the program and community will resonate with your needs, we do require that each applicant has attended a minimum of 4 classes at Neighborhood Yoga by the Sept 1st deadline, and at least one of those with the director of NYTT, Valerie Midgett. If you’re commuting from a distance, it may be possible to make other arrangements upon request.
Non Teaching Option
Neighborhood Yoga is offering this training to individuals who wish to deepen their practice of asana, philosophy, energetics, pranayama and meditation, as well as study some of the classic yogic texts, but may not necessarily be interested in teaching yoga. Attendance is still mandatory and some of of class assignments required for continuity and understanding of the material on a deeper level. There is a cost reduction of $150 and a certificate of completion will be awarded at the end of the program for the number of hours dedicated to advanced studies and training in yoga.
Scholarship and Work Study Application
Neighborhood Yoga offers a limited number of partial scholarships based on both need and potential. Work/Study opportunities are also available. Applications for these will be due by Sept 1st, 2023. Download Scholarship Application.
(participants will be limited to 18 students)
Applications for NYTT will be available on line www.neighborhoodyoga.net or at the studio.

Full attendance for all weekends is essential to understanding the progressive manner of the material. It is strongly advised that you make arrangements to attend ALL sessions. Make up hours are both difficult and expensive. If you need to miss a weekend or a day, arrangements should be made prior to that date. It is your responsibility to obtain any missed material, through additional workshops, classes, or private sessions. Options for making up missed material will be discussed on an individual basis. Financial responsibility for make up hours is the responsibility of the participant, which may require the hourly rate for private sessions. We strongly encourage you to read and understand this attendance policy. Yoga Alliance requires completion of 180 contact hours with primary faculty from the training program.
There are nine weekend sessions.
Sept 29-Oct 1st, Oct 27-29, Nov 17-19, Dec 8-10
Jan 12-14, Feb 9-11, March 8-10, April 12-14, May 17-19
Withdrawing from the program must be made in writing or e-mail. If you withdraw before July 31st 2023, $100 is non-refundable, after Sept 1st the $200 deposit is non-refundable. Tuition is non-refundable after the program has begun, and you are responsible for full payment of the program. We typically have a waiting list, and it would be impossible to replace anyone once the program has begun.
